For whatever reason my last post didn't come out quite right. You could see D1 and D2 but, as for the rest D3 was blue, D4 green, D5 orange, Iowa purple, and then Minnesota pink. Anyway so now on to my new player rankings. Just like for the team rankings I included players from other states and then in my class rankings I'm only going to include players from the state of Wisconsin. So here are my new rankings.
Overall
1. Bronson Koenig 6'3 senior Lacrosse Aquinas- A player that
truly makes his team mates better and is the ultimate star point guard in that
he can score and pass the ball extremely well. Honestly I could see him being
the starting point guard right now for Wisconsin.
2. Duane Wilson
6'3 senior Whitefish Bay Dominican- Ultra quick guard that can get his
shot at any time. Knocks down the three, can finish at the rim with either hand
and might be the best ball handler in the state.
3. Deonte Burton 6'6
senior Milwaukee Vincent- Second time I saw him play he really came to
play going head to head with Wilson. Showed he does have an outside shot along
with all the intangibles he brings to the game. Rebounds extremely well, passes
extremely well, blocks shots extremely well, and is a very good on the ball
defender as well.
4. Matt Thomas 6'4 senior Onalaska- Moves
extremely well with out the ball to get open but, also handles the ball well
enough that there was nobody on the court that could stay in front of him. Has
the prettiest shot and elevates extremely well which allows him to get his shot
up at anytime. The shots weren't falling for him in the game I saw but, you
could see that he is a shooter.
5. Rashard Vaughn 6'6 junior Robinsdale Cooper- An elite talent with college size. Can really shoot the ball from three point range and can get to the rim when he wants to.
6. Nick Fuller 6'7 senior Sun
Prairie- In the two games I saw his shot just wasn't falling but, did
show his versatility that he could play on the perimeter or in the post. Really
seems prepared to be able to play on the next level.
7. Kevin Looney
6'8 junior Milwaukee Hamilton- Didn't have a great game but, showed the
ability to control the game without having to score. Blocked shots, rebounded,
and did score late in the game.
8. Jamaar McKay 6'4 senior Milwaukee
Washington- Extremely high energy player that really makes his team go.
Can guard anyone on the court and when he gets the ball on the block he's almost
impossible to stop. Tremendous leaper as well with a nice mid range jumper.
9. Nick Noskowiak 6'3 sophomore Sun Prairie- A big time
shooter that can knock down shots off the dribble with the best of them. Think
he could be a solid point guard but, with the team he's on he's forced to be
more of a scoring point guard. Plays pretty solid defense as well.
10. Steven Soukup 6'5 senior Danville- A great great outside shooter that can also handle the ball very well and moves without the ball very well.
11. Michael Conway 6'6
senior Lacrosse Aquinas- Really gets over shadowed by his team mate
Koenig but, this kid can do it all to. Hits the spot up threes, rebounds very
well, handles the ball, and showed he can drive to the rim and finish with the
monster dunk.
12. Diamond Stone 6'9 sophomore Whitefish Bay
Dominican- Was very limited in the game I saw him due to foul trouble
but, when he was in the game was very impressive. Has a great game in the post
with his back to the basket. Rebounds very well and of course blocks shots.
13. Joe Aase 6'8 senior Austin- A big man with a very nice shot from the outside. Moves well to get himself open and can knock down the shot.
14. Malik Clements 6'3 junior Madison West- Might very well
be the most improved player in the state. Does a great job coming off of screens
and is immediately ready to shoot the ball and has the ability to take that ball
to the hoop just as well and use his strength to finish.
15. Jeremy Morgan 6'6 senior Iowa City West- A legitimate D1 athlete with the size and skill level to play guard at the next level. An extremely unselfish player that can also really knock down the three point shot.
16. Nate
Dodge 6'3 senior East Troy- An ultimate team player in that he is now
playing in the post on defense and is doing a great job rebounding the ball. One
of the top shooters in the state and is the ultimate competitor.
17. Brandon Robinson 6'2 junior Robbinsdale Cooper- A very strong lefty in the post that is almost impossible to stop when he goes to his left.
18.
Derek Rongstad 6'5 junior Middleton- Very smooth player that has a very
nice jumper that he takes off the dribble and a good spot up three point shot.
Hands down the top player on the court when I saw him play Madison Memorial.
19. Joel Heesch 6'3 senior Mauston- Just a tremendous talent that can get his shot off at anytime. Has very nice long distance jumper and does a great job of looking for his team mates and setting them up for open shots.
20. Steven Minzlaff 6'4 senior Bay Port- Another Mr.
Everything. As he is forced to play in the post just because he is the tallest
guy on the team. Did a very nice job playing defense against bigger players and
then turns around and runs the point for Bay Port setting the offense up and
then going to the post where he does a great job posting up and then going back
outside shooting threes or driving to the hoop.
21. MJ Delmore 5'11 senior Wisconsin Dells- Absolutely an ideal point guard and might be the best in the state. Seems like he's always scoring but, doesn't force things just takes what the defense gives him. Always, always finds the open teammate and puts them in the perfect position to score. Is an extremely good three point shooter.
22. Jaylen Key 6'5
sophomore Homestead- Had no idea this kid whose a sophomore tell I came
home and looked him up. Has a very nice smooth mid range jumper that he takes a
little to much at times. A solid rebounder and also a pretty good shot blocker
as well.
23. Jester Weah 6'4 senior Madison Memorial- In my
opinion is the best rebounder and leaper in the state. At times is a true beast
in the paint and if the shot is missed he's going to get the rebound.
24. David Burrell 6'5 junior Milwaukee Hamilton- Another
tremendous leaper that loves to finish with the dunk. Loves to get out and run
in the open floor and rebounds really well.
25. Brett Prahl 6'9
senior East Troy- A big man that moves extremely well and has the
ability to come out and guard smaller players on the perimeter. Runs the floor
very well and really does a nice job of sealing off his
defender.

defender.
7. Cole Schmitz 6'2 Verona- Played decent minutes. Didn't do a ton but, didn't make many mistakes though either and played with confidence.
8. Brian Wilman 6'4 Arrowhead- Don't remember him
but, he played and scored on a very good Arrowhead team.
9. Bobby
Hambright 5'9 Milwaukee Riverside- Don't remember him either but, he
played in the game.
10. Pennis McGowan 5'9 Racine
Park- Started as freshmen must mean something.
Well there are my new rankings. There seem to be fewer and fewer changes as the year goes on but, the more players I see the tougher it is for a player to break into the top rankings.
