With my junior rankings I know that everyone is expecting to see the players from Milwaukee Hamilton up towards the top of the rankings but, that isn't the case for me. I only saw Hamilton play once and it was one of the games that they lost and they really weren't that impressive. So here are my final rankings for juniors.
1.Nimrod Hillard 6'0 Madison East- One of the most impressive players that I saw all year. Killer cross over that can break the best defenders ankles. Has a very nice floater shot when he gets within 10 feet of the rim. Can get to the rim at any time and can finish in a variety of ways. Has a low release on his shot but, when given room he can drop the shot and has a very nice step back shot. Also a very in your face defender.
2. Connor Miller 6'2 Eau Claire Regis- Greatly improved player that handles the ball very very well. Could easily take a game over if he wanted to but, really is a true point guard that is looking to set his teammates up. When its necessary he will take a game over. Has a very nice outside shot which he loves to shoot off the dribble.
3. Quevyn Winters 6'5 Milwaukee Washington- Just a very smooth player that does everything well. Handles the ball fairly well for a high school kid his size and can shoot the three point shot. He's a great perimeter player but, he may be at his best when he's in the post. Player that anyone would love to have.
4. Chris Hawkins 6'4 Sun Prairie- Kid that loves to bash on the inside. Just very solid player on the inside and isn't afraid to battle with anyone and has the ability to battle with them. Rebounds great and can block shots fairly well. If he can stay out of foul trouble he'll be a huge asset to Sun Prairie next year.
5.Charles Lee 5'8 Milwaukee Hamilton- Ultra quick guard that handles the ball very well. Despite his size has the ability to get his shot off at anytime. Runs an offense fairly well.
6. John Kopriva 6'6 Milwaukee Marquette- Great player in the post and can finish over much taller defenders as he showcased going against the 7'1 Ben Mills. Just has a very nice smooth game around the hoop and really battles for rebounds.
7. Jordan Noskowiak 6'3 Sun Prairie- Streaky shooter and when he's hot he's very tough to shot. Comes off a screen and gets his feet set very quick and gets his shot off fairly quick. Pretty good defender is a solid rebounder from the perimeter.
8. Trevor Jorgenson 6'7 Lacrosse Logan- Beast on the inside that really has a soft touch around the rim. Rebounds very well and really uses his wide body nicely to fight for position on the inside and grabbing rebounds.
9. Chad Mazur 6'3 Reedsburg- Moves incredibly well without the ball and uses his teammates screens very well. Shoots the three ball very very well and comes off the screen and sets his feet very quick and has a quick release. Doesn't matter if a defender is in his face or not the shot is going to fall.
10. Zach Zweifel 6'0 Monona Grove- Just a flat out scorer, that can really put the points up. Can finish at the rim very well and has a very nice midrange shot. Very athletic kid that can do lots of things on the offensive end.
11. Jared Staege 6'2 Waunakee- Great ball handler that handles the ball very well and can get to the rim. Can also knock down the three point shot.
12. Quentin Calloway 5'11 Milwaukee Marquette- Great great ballhandler that does a nice job of distributing the ball and can get to the rim and finish.
13. Elgin Cook 6'6 Milwaukee Hamilton- Honestly was alittle disappointed in Cook. He was very solid in the post but, I was expecting him to be more of a perimeter player. Was very solid on the inside showing is athleticism.
14. Darnell Harris 6'8 Milwaukee Hamilton- Big man that runs the court very well and likes to shoot the three point shot. Would of liked to of seen him play in the post though but, seems happy sitting outside.
15. Bryan Tordoff 6'0 Monroe- Another very good three point shooter that moves very well without the ball and comes off screens ready to shoot the ball. Shooter that can go off for a bunch in a hurry.
16. Hank Kujak 6'2 Blair Taylor- Streaker shooter from the outside but, can hit a shot from anywhere on the court when he gets hot. Just finds a way to finish at the rim.
17. Beau Murray 6'3 Waunakee- Does a great job of going to the rim and getting fouled where he almost always makes his free throws. When he doesn't get fouled he is able to make the layups in a variety of ways.
18. Johnny Coenen 5'8 Appleton East- Undersized player that plays much bigger. Does a great job of setting his teammates up and is a very good three point shooter.
19. Kaylor Zimmerman 6'1 Green Bay NEW Lutheran- Nice point guard that can really knock down the midrange shot. and is very quick. Defensively he has very quick hands that allows him to get numerous steals getting his hands in the passing lanes and just taking the ball from opponents.
20. Adam Ray 6'2 Poynette- Very nice three point shooter that can get hot in a hurry and can use his strength to score in the paint.
21. Mark Kowalke 6'6 Baraboo- Big man thats a great rebounder and can block some shots. Offensively can score in the post, knock down the mid range jumper, and can hit the three point shot.
22. Trent Schmidt 6'2 Appleton East- Great great defender that can shut down even the best scorers. Can penetrate and score and just as easily hit the outside shot.
23. Tre Burnette 6'4 Madison Memorial- Very good three point shooter that can go off at anytime from the outside.
24. TJ Huzienga 6'2 Randolph- Long athletic player that can get to the rim and score in a variety of ways. Length allows him to be a great defender that can get his hands on a lot of passes.
25. Charlie Fischer 6'3 Arrowhead- Great three point shooter, that gets good elevation on his shot. Also is a great leaper then can get off the ground very quick.
