With state two days away excitement is in the air on wishoops. Day one starts out with two games of division three and concludes with four division one games.
D3 Predictions
Iola Scandinavia over Eau Claire Regis- Regis likes to play zone and IS likes to shoot the three. This basically means that if IS shoots the three well they will win and with high scoring Michael Griffin, IS should be able to shoot their way to victory.
Whitefish Bay Dominican over Lacrosse Aquinas- One of the best match ups at state. Winner of this game should win state. Aquinas guard Jimmy Whitehead matches up against the big three of Dominican in Kwamain Mitchell, JD Wise, and Jerrel Harris, with Dominican with a big advantage. In the post Aquinas has the advantage with Lucas Morrissey, Zach Rickaway, and Michael Hanson who should all have good games. In the end Dominican will just have too much star power for Aquinas. Should be a very fast paced game that should be very fun to watch.
D1 Predictions
Madison Memorial over Lake Geneva Badger- Badger shoots the three really well but Memorial is just took quick for Badger and should force them into multiple turnovers. Not too mention Jeronne Maymon is a beast on the inside and should dominate.
Germantown over Oshkosh West- This will be a great matchup of big men but, the difference will be guard play and Germantown's Rick Bowers will be the best guard on the floor.
Bay Port over Brookfield Central- Honestly don't know much about either team but Bay Port has had the better record and beat better teams on their way to state so I take them.
Wauwatosa East over Eau Claire North- North has a huge height advantage with 6'11 Evan Anderson and 6'7 Tyler Brown but, Tosa has a huge athleticism advantage which gives them the win in this one.
