State Preview

State Basketball starts tomorrow so here are my state picks.....

Division Five
Catholic Central over Barneveld
McDonell Central over Green Bay NEW Lutheran

McDonell Central over Catholic Central

Unfortunately I gotta go with the private school over Barneveld. BCC has just played tougher competition all year long and don't think Barneveld is ready for that. Ever since I saw McDonell Central play they've been my state pick. McDonell has tremendous size and athleticism and just don't think GBNL can stay with them. McDonell has seen some very tough competition playing in the Cloverbelt Conference.

Division Four
Dominican over Aquinas
Cameron over Amherst

Dominican over Cameron
Having seen Aquinas play earlier in the year I'm really shocked where they are and think that luck runs out against Dominican who just has too much talent for anyone in D4. Cameron is an undefeated team and they took down Eau Claire Regis which really says a lot to me but, don't think they have enough against Dominican.

Division Three
Waupun over Prairie du Chien
GET over Xavier

GET over Waupun

GET is the undefeated team coming in, play a tough defense that you don't see very often, and have three talented seniors with a ton of experience. Don't know much about Waupun but, haven't been super impressed with PDC. They have a handful of good players but, they don't have that elite player that can take over a game.

Division Two
Whitnall over Waunakee
Kaukauna over La Crosse Central

Kaukauna over Whitnall

Just don't think that Waunakee has played the toughest schedule playing in the Badger North while Whitnall plays in a very tough conference in the southeast part of the state. Kaukauna beat La Crosse Central by 15 once already and I expect much the same this time around. Kobe King is great by Kaukauna has better supporting players and Jordan McCabe makes everyone better. This might be the most entertaining conference as every team here has at least one D1 college prospect and they may all have two.

Division One
Marquette over Muskego
Stevens Point over Sheboygan North

Stevens Point over Marquette

Only question here is can anyone keep the game within 20. Point is just too big and good for anyone
Marquette over Muskego because they've had a very tough regular season and anyone coming out of the southeast sectional has to be a favorite.

Should be a lot of fun. Oh and my three point champ is going to be Ryan Cleary Brookfield Academy beating out Jordan Johnson Cedarburg. Third place is Terrence Lewis of Riverside.
